Coding Kids Foundation began at home. Our founder is a software engineer with young children, and wanted them, and kids everywhere, to discover the fun of making things with code. Founded in 2021 and based in Washington State, we’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a simple mission: introduce kids to programming with free, hands-on games that build problem-solving, logical thinking and creativity, and inspire them to create software of their own.
What we make
Coding Kids is our free web app for kindergarten to 5th grade. Kids teach a robot called Bit, first with picture tiles and then with blocks. There is nothing to sign up for, there are no ads, and it keeps working without an internet connection.
Nonprofit information
Coding Kids Foundation is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our EIN is 87-0922779. Our annual IRS filings are on the Disclosure page.
